BLUFFTON – The Ada boys golf team finished a strong second in a four-team match at the Bluffton Golf Course Friday. Arcadia won the event with 198 strokes.Ada edged county foe Hardin Northern 202-203 to take second, while Delphos Jefferson was last at 215 shots.
ADA – TheAda girls soccer team whipped former league foe Crestview 3-0 with a dominating effort Monday evening at War Memorial Stadium. Lady Bulldog freshman Emily Shanks scored two goals to pace the talented young squad to a convincing victory.
ADA — The Ohio Northern football team was picked to finish seventh in the league in the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Coaches Poll. Northern garnered 35 points in the poll.
ADA – The Ada High boys soccer team defeated visiting New Knoxville in a tough 2-1 battle Monday evening at War Memorial Stadium. All three goals were tallied in the first half.

WAYNESFIELD — The Hardin Northern golf team shot a 384 team score Monday at the Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational at the Prairie View Golf Course. The Polar Bears finished with a team score of 384 to finish seventh in the 11 team field.

INDIANAPOLIS — High school softball coaches will be able to use electronic devices in the dugout for one-way communication to the catcher while the team is on defense beginning in 2025. This landmark change was the highlight of the NFHS Softball Rules Committee’s two rules recommendations, which were forwarded as a result of the committee’s annual rules meeting held June 9-11 at The Alexander hotel in Indianapolis.
FINDLAY – The Ada varsity boys golf team teed off its 2024 campaign with the first of three Blanchard Valley Conference championship league meets this season Monday at the Findlay Country Club. It was the first-ever athletic event for the Bulldogs as a fullfledged member of the BVC.
HARROD — The Allen East boys golf team opened its season Thursday at the Rob Contini Memorial Lima City Invitational at the Colonial Golf Course. The Mustang golfers struggled in their season opener as they finish seventh with a score of 419.
