LIMA — Allen East’s girls soccer team opened conference play Monday as they defeated Lima Central Catholic 11-0 in the Northwest Conference opener for both teams. This was the T-Birds first NWC game as they rejoined the conference for the 2024-25 season.
ARLINGTON — Arlington scored four straight touchdowns in the first half on their way to a 53-33 season opening win over Hardin Northern. The contest was tied at 6-6 before the Red Devils scored twice to end the first quarter before adding two more scores in the second quarter.
ADA – TheAda girls soccer team jumped to a big lead and defeated visiting local rival Allen East 5-2 Saturday night at War Memorial Stadium. Ada improved to 4-0 with the win, while AE is 0-1 after losing its opener.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Hardin Northern’s golf team finished second Monday at the second round of the Northwest Central Conference golf tournament. The Polar Bears finished second Monday at the Birch Run Golf Course shooting a 380 team score.
McGUFFEY – The Ada football team rallied with a late defensive stand and then scored a touchdown in the final 75 seconds to avoid an upset bid by traditional arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley in the season opener last Friday night and win, 15-14.
ADA – The Ada girls varsity soccer team kicked off its season with a big second half to beat visiting Tiffin Columbian 3-2 Saturday evening in the season opener. Ada trailed 1-0 at halftime after an own goal, but netted two goals in the first seven minutes of the second half to take the lead.
ADA – The Ada varsity football team was sharp in winning its last tune-up scrimmage over visiting Waynesfield-Goshen at War Memorial Stadium Friday evening. The Bulldogs led the varsity contest 17-6 after each team completed one series in the third quarter.
ADA – The Ada varsity boys soccer team opened its campaign with an 11-0 shellacking of visiting Tiffin Columbian Saturday night at War Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs raced to a 7-0 lead at the half and cruised to the lopsided victory in the coaching debut of new Bulldog mentor Aaron Acheson.
