DELPHOS – The visiting Ada girls soccer team scored late to defeat spunky Delphos Jefferson 1-0 Thursday night and stay undefeated. The Lady Bulldogs ran their win streak to five matches to begin the season, the best start in program history.
KENTON — Despite shooting a school record score Saturday the Hardin Northern boys golf team finished third at the Hardin County Invitational. The Polar Bears finished the nine hole tournament shooting a score of 189, which is a new school record score.
ADA – The Ada volleyball team easily dispatched visiting Perry in straight sets Tuesday evening to win their third consecutive match. Ada improved to 3-1 overall with the decisive 25-18, 25-11, 25-13 non-league sweep.
DOLA — Hardin Northern’s volleyball team rallied to win the final two sets from Ada Saturday to help them split a three match. Ada defeated Hardin Northern in the first set Saturday 25-19, before the Polar Bears rallied to claim a 25-23, 25-21 win.
HARROD — Allen East defeated Fort Jennings 4-1 in a non-league soccer match Wednesday evening. Mustang senior Rilynn Jones scored two goals and had two assists in her teams win.
ADA – The Ada football team jumped ahead on the very first play and went on to a 42-0 romp over visiting Buckeye Central in their home opener on a hot evening last Friday at War Memorial Stadium. Senior Kaine Fisher returned the opening kickoff all the way to paydirt to tally the first of his three touchdowns.
HARROD — Allen East rallied from an early deficit Friday night to defeat Newark Catholic 62-28 in non-league action. Newark Catholic jumped out to a 14-0 lead before the Mustangs started to rally as they scored on a Jackson Thompson to Ethan Young touchdown pass with 4:23 left in the first quarter to get on the scoreboard.
ADA – The Ada volleyball team hosted and swept a non-league triangular match Saturday morning vs. Waynesfield-Goshen and Spencerville.
