ADA – The Ada volleyball team lost its first-ever Blanchard Valley Conference match in straight sets to visiting Liberty-Benton Wednesday evening. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-4 overall this season and 0-1 in the BVC after the 259, 25-13, 25-21 loss.
ADA – The Ada volleyball team easily dispatched visiting Perry in straight sets Tuesday evening to win their third consecutive match. Ada improved to 3-1 overall with the decisive 25-18, 25-11, 25-13 non-league sweep. Perry dropped to 0-4 after the loss.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — Hardin Northern’s Riley Newton had an excellent run Thursday at the Riverdale Invitational. Newton finished fourth in the boys varsity race running a time of 19:14.61, while teammate Andrew Sutton finished 14th in 19:59.78.
ADA — Ohio Northern kicked the off its 2024 season and the Andy Fries era with a convincing 45-7 victory over Franklin (Ind.) on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The Game< >Ohio Northern’s offense rolled up 294 yards rushing and 394 yards of total offense.
BLUFFTON – The Ada boys golf team hosted and won a close dual match with Pandora-Gilboa Tuesday at the Bluffton Golf Course. Ada triumphed with a season-low total of 194 strokes, five shots ahead of P-G at 199.
HARROD — Allen East’s boys soccer team had a big scoring night to defeat Cory-Rawson 7-0 in non-league action. Garrett Jennings and Manny Rettig both had a pair of goals for the Mustangs in the win.

PANDORA — Allen East’s volleyball team fell to Pandora-Gilboa in three sets Saturday 25-6, 25-11 and 25-11 in non-league action. Brynna Contris and Joy Helser both had four kills for the Mustangs in the match, while Aniya Prowant came up with 10 digs.
KENTON — Despite shooting a school record score Saturday the Hardin Northern boys golf team finished third at the Hardin County Invitational. The Polar Bears finished the nine hole tournament shooting a score of 189, which is a new school record score.
