ARLINGTON – The Ada boys golf team finished ninth out of 13 teams in the Division III sectional tournament at Sycamore Springs Golf Course Thursday. A pair of local golfers survived the first round of tournament play to advance to the district tournament this Thursday at the Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green.
RAWSON – The Ada volleyball team finished fifth at the eight-team Cory-Rawson Invitational tournament Saturday by winning their last two matches. Ada improved its record to 9-9 after the busy day.
KENTON — The visiting Ada boys soccer team enjoyed a three-goal spurt and then staved off a late rally to beat Hardin County rival Kenton 3-2 Saturday evening and spoil Senior Night for the Wildcats.
ADA — The Ada girls soccer team fell behind very early and lost 4-0 to visiting Upper Sandusky in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association contest Wednesday evening at War Memorial Stadium. The Lady Bulldog kickers dropped to 6-6 overall and 0-4 in the rugged NCOSA after losing the opener of a girls/ boys varsity doubleheader vs.
DOLA — Hardin Northern’s volleyball swept Lima Temple Christian Thursday 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 in Northwest Central Conference action Thursday. Kendall Frank served up 10 aces for the Polar Bears with 19 assists.
ARCADIA – The Ada football team scored 22 unanswered points in the second half to defeat Blanchard Valley Conference foe Arcadia soundly 36-6 on a rare Thursday night game last week. Ada led just 14-6 at halftime, but senior quarterback Levi Green passed for two touchdowns to help the visitors pull away after intermission.
