Arguably, one of the biggest things to ever happen in Ada happened on June 3, 1910. That was the day that then U.S. President William Howard Taft came to give the address and hand out diplomas at the 40th annual Ohio Northern University Commencement.
As noted in the last edition of the Herald, Ada Police Officer Michael Bollinger retired after 25 years of service. During that time, and actually for quite some time prior, no Ada police officer had fired a gun in the line of duty, according to Ada Police Chief Alec Cooper.
