HARDIN COUNTY – The Hardin County Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting “An Evening Garden Affair” program on Monday, June 23. The event will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Friendship Gardens and Simon Kenton School.

ADA — Ada High School’s Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony Sunday included a valedictorian’s talk that had people thinking about “waiting.” Then again, according to the same valedictorian, maybe they shouldn’t – “wait,” that is. Either way, the memories attached to the actions one takes, the ones that ‘light the corners of our minds,’ don’t have to be “flashy.” They could just be memories of, say — playing euchre at lunch. *Stay tuned.
ADA — Ada’s Jessie Caskie believes she could be, perhaps, one of the most “optimistic” fishermen, ‘er fisherperson – in the world!
KENTON — The United Way of Hardin County recently hosted its annual meeting, celebrating another successful year of community service, collaboration, and giving.
Lafayette will be observing its annual Memorial Day Celebration on Monday, May 26.
DELAWARE — Ethan Nickles of Kenton, graduated May 10 from Ohio Wesleyan University.
“Everyone in this area knew him,” said his daughter Michelle.
The Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club is reminding area students that the deadline is approaching to submit applications for its annual scholarship. The scholarship is open to any student from Hardin County who has completed at least two of four years of college at an accredited school, or one year of a two-year business or technical school program.
ADA — Aidra Preston pf Ada was selected by the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership at The Ohio State University to receive the ACEL Centennial Scholarship.
