Ada Herald ceases publication

Readers and friends of The Ada Herald,

As we move through the summer months, I hope you’ve found time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the company of loved ones.

I’ve taken time myself to reflect, and in doing so, have reached a difficult decision. Despite our team’s best efforts to sustain and grow The Ada Herald, community support—through subscriptions, advertising, and event participation—has not reached the level necessary to continue operations. As such, with a heavy heart, I share that this is our final edition.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years. Whether you’ve been a subscriber, advertiser, contributor, or reader, your engagement has meant the world to us. Together, we’ve explored new ways to deliver local news, and through it all, we’ve remained proud to serve this community.

While this chapter is coming to a close, our mission doesn’t end here. We encourage you to continue seeking out and supporting local journalism because informed communities are stronger communities.

It has been a true privilege to serve the city of Ada and the surrounding counties. If you are a prepaid print subscriber, please know you will receive a refund for your unused balance.

Take care of yourselves and each other,

Jeremy Gulban
