The Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club is reminding area students that the deadline is approaching to submit applications for its annual scholarship. The scholarship is open to any student from Hardin County who has completed at least two of four years of college at an accredited school, or one year of a two-year business or technical school program.

The medical term for whooping cough is pertussis. Due to the long duration of the cough from 6-10 weeks or longer, whooping cough has also been referred to as the 100-day cough.
