KENTON — Congratulations to the 2024-2025 Student Leaders United class on graduation. This talented group of high school sophomores from across the county was recognized at their graduation program on May 14, 2025.

Either way, the memories attached to the actions one takes, the ones that ‘light the corners of our minds,’ don’t have to be “flashy.” They could just be memories of, say — playing euchre at lunch. *Stay tuned.

On Dec. 21, 1967, the movie The Graduate was released. Dustin Hoffman starred in the movie as Benjamin Braddock, who just graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree and has moved home to Pasadena, California. The actor, Walter Brooke, who played Mr. McGuire gives Benjamin his advice for the future. He tells him one word —plastics! “There’s a great future in plastics.”
