BLOOMDALE – The visiting Ada volleyball team defeated Elmwood in straight sets in a Blanchard Valley Conference match Monday evening. The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the BVC this season after the hard-fought 26-24, 25-20, 2522 road victory.
HARROD — The Allen East volleyball team split two matches Saturday during a three team match. The Mustangs fell to Lima Bath in three sets, 25-20, 2125, 20-25 before ending the day with a 25-13, 25-20 win over Northwood.
ADA — The Ada boys soccer team defeated Spencerville 3-1 in a warm non-conference bout Monday evening at War Memorial Stadium. Ada improved to 7-3 overall with the decisive victory.
ADA — The Ada girls soccer team got back on the winning track with a decisive 3-0 victory over visiting non-league foe Lima Senior Monday night at War Memorial Stadium. The purple and gold improved to 6-4 overall with the convincing win.
DOLA — Hardin Northern’s volleyball team defeated Riverdale in nonleague action Monday 25-22, 25-18, 17-25 and 25-22. Lainey Thomas served up eight aces for the Polar Bears while coming up with 31 digs.

Average gasoline prices in Ohio have fallen 15.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.90/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 5,345 stations in Ohio. Prices in Ohio are 50.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 71.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 3.4 cents in the last week and stands at $3.57 per gallon- the lowest level since January, 2022, over 900 days ago.
