Hardin Northern, USV lose league match-ups
On Friday night, both the Hardin Northern and USV boys basketball teams faced league opponents, and were defeated. Hardin Northern faced the Liberty-Benton Eagles, and were steamrolled by Aaron Craft and company, 81-30. HN drops to 2-7 (0-4 BVC).
USV traveled to Waynesfield-Goshen and were handed a 57-41 loss. USV's record fell to 1-8 (1-1 NWCC).
HN vs. L-B
Liberty-Benton took a commanding 32-8 lead over the Polar Bears in the first period, and never looked back. The Eagles held a 30-point lead at halftime, and continued to increase that bulge throughout the game, holding HN to single digit scoring in every period.

The Tigers took a slim lead after the first stanza of the NWCC contest over USV, and increased the point spread by halftime, 38-19. The Rams could not regain their footing after that.
