The Lady Rams of USV traveled to New Bremen to take part in the annual Cardinal Tip-Off Tourney. Anna and New Knoxville played as well.
USV won their opening contest with New Bremen by a score of 42-33. USV overcame a 21-13 deficit at the half, and held the Cardinals scoreless in the third period. Junior Whitney Carroll scored 22 points to lead the Lady Rams to the victory. She also sank four treys during the game. Katie Hicks scored 12 points, while Ginnie Critten earned six.
In the championship round, USV faced the Anna Rockets, and were defeated 52-39. Top scorer was Hicks with 13. Mikayla Coburn earned 12 and Carroll scored 10 (with two three-pointers).

Following the Tip-Off, the Lady Rams open their regular season at home with Bluffton Tuesday night at 6 p.m. and then travels to Ada on Dec. 8.
