However, the Rams collected themselves and rallied to beat the Commodores 44-22. USV improves in the NWCC to 5-4 (3-3). They are tied in fourth place with Perry, who is 4-5 overall but also 3-3 in the league.
Following the opening Perry score on their fumble, USV's quarterback Rhys Rose launched a 66-yard rocket to Colby Salyer to get USV on the scoreboard. Less than two minutes later, USV had the ball again, and Salyer caught another Rose pass to score from nine yards out.
The Rams weren't finished yet, with Rose connecting with Brandon Overs for a 31-yard pass for a total of 18 points in the first quarter. Perry managed to score again before the end of the first with a 63-yard run from John Turner.
USV made the only score in the second quarter, when Brett Wodarski carried the ball into the end zone from six yards out. There wouldn't be another score until the fourth quarter.
Rose opened the fourth with a quarterback keeper from the four yard line. He then kept the ball again to successfully complete a two-point conversion. USV scored twice more before the end of the game, with a 27-yard pass from Rose to Overs and then a 52-yard pass from Rose to Steven LaRue.
Perry got the final score of the game, when Tyler Cornwell ran in from the two, and then carried the ball again for a two-point conversion.
Rose was only 38 percent in passing with 16 of 42 completed for a total of 347 yards. Rose also earned 55 yards in rushing. Wodarski gained 44 yards in rushing and 22 in receiving. Top receivers for the game were Salyer with 145 and LaRue with 115. Overs earned 88 yards in rushing.

USV will travel to Fostoria to play St. Wendelin in their final regular season game. St. Wendelin is winless this season, with a record of 0-9 (0-6 NWCC).
