The USV boys golf team set a school record Monday evening at Colonial Hills by shooting a 156 to upset the NWCC league leader Fairbanks (161) and Perry (194). Bradley Pickford was Match Medalist with a personal best of 36.
The Rams are now 16-3 (8-2 NWCC). With the win, USV is ranked second in the league.
In the league, Fairbanks drops to 7-1 and Perry stands at 4-6. The NWCC meet will be held at Prairie View Golf Course, and hosted by Waynesfield-Goshen on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
"We've had some good golfing but have been inconsistent," said Head Coach Mike Risner. "We've got five experienced kids back. We're hoping that experience will help us out this week."
USV scores at Colonial: Wes Krummery 38, Tommy Prater 40, Bradley Pickford 36, Ryan Sarver 42, Tyler Shepherd 52, and Seth Bischoff 59. JV scores: Blake Watkins 52, Alex Parker 59, Nick Sarver 55, and Brandon Holbrook 64.
