Held at bay for the first three quarters, USV finally collected themselves in the fourth to prevent a total shutout. Tinora, which is located in Defiance, won the contest 48-12.
Suffering their first loss of the season dropped USV's record to 2-1.
It was a running game for Tinora, who out-rushed USV 304 yards to 47. Quarterback Rhys Rose was less than 50 percent in passing and intercepted five times.
USV's scores in the fourth quarter occurred when Rose connected with Trey Williams from 24 yards out, and then Colby Salyer passed to Mark Coburn from 30 yards.
