The USV baseball team earned a 12-8 win over the Ridgemont Golden Gophers on April 29. Several Rams contributed to the winning scoreboard during the contest.
Derek Mullett, winning pitcher, shared duties with Jake Nelson. Mullett only walked one batter and had five strikeouts.
Earning a double was Troy Summa, who also had 3 RBIs. Other hitters who scored runs were Gabe Smith, Jake Nelson, Derek Mullett, Wes Krummery, Travis Craft, Brandon Overs, Brian Roberts and Kelly Gibson.
"We are starting to hit the ball, but we are still not pitching and fielding as well as I hoped for by this time in the season," USV Head Coach Wayne Schneider commented. "Hopefully we can pull it all together before next weekend's tournament game."
