The Lady Hornets couldn't get over 10 points on the scoreboard in any quarter. The USV squad improved their overall record to 12-8 with the win. Cory-Rawson fell to 1-18 (0-8 BVC).
"Whitney (Carroll) shot well for us tonight," Head Coach Brenda Mullins commented. Whitney was six of nine in three-pointers and had two regular baskets to lead the Ram scorers with 22 points.
"Katie (Hicks) had good minutes with a double-double," she added. Katie scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She also had four steals and five assists.
Shelby Conley earned eight points, while Rachel Jeffers scored seven.
There weren't any Lady Hornets in double digit scoring. Leader was M. Woodward with seven, L. Mattice earned six and L. Rettig shot for five.
