Unbeaten AE boys run-rule Ada

ADA - Visiting Allen East scored in every inning to beat Ada 20-3 in their backyard rivalry Northwest Conference baseball opener Thursday evening.
Ada fell to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the NWC with the five-inning, run-rule defeat, while AE improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.
AE scored three runs in the first frame, then poured it on with five runs in each of the next two innings to take a 13-0 lead.
A six-run fourth extended the margin to 19-0 before Ada got on the board with a single run in the home half of the fourth. The Mustangs tacked on one run in the top of the fifth.
The Bulldogs pushed across two runs in the bottom of the fifth but could not avoid the 10-run rule.
Ada senior outfielder Alex Nichelson led the eight-hit Bulldog offense with a pair of hits. He scored one run and stole a base.
Neeley led the Mustangs with two doubles, four runs batted in and four runs scored. AE out-hit Ada 9-8 but took advantage of seven Bulldog errors.
