Ryan Malone named OAC Special Teams Player of the Week

ADA - Senior wide receiver Ryan Malone has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the Week of Oct. 14-20.
On Saturday, Malone returned a punt 72 yards for a score and a 17-0 lead with 2:57 left in the half to lead Ohio Northern to a 45-0 Homecoming victory over Marietta.
He also caught a 44-yard touchdown pass and finished the day with 140 yards of total offense.
The Polar Bears will be home again on Saturday, when they host No. 16-ranked John Carroll at Dial-Roberson Stadium at 1:30 pm.
Nathan Rosenbaum named OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
ADA -- Junior Nathan Rosenbaum has been named OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Oct. 14-20.
Rosenbaum finished 7th of 283 runners to lead the Ohio Northern men's cross country team to a sixth place finish at the 2013 Inter-Regional Rumble at Oberlin on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (65-12 Overall) finished 6th out of 31 teams with a score of 213 points.
The Polar Bears will be back in action on Saturday, November 2nd, at 11 am as they compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Otterbein.
Freshman Matt Kinkopf named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
ADA - For the second time this season, freshman Matt Kinkopf has been named the OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct 14-20.
Kinkopf also earned the honor the week of Sept. 9-15.
Kinkopf finished the week with three goals, as the Polar Bears defeated Otterbein 3-2 in double overtime on Wednesday and Marietta 6-1 on Saturday.
On Tuesday against Otterbein, Kinkopf scored at the 101:06 mark of the second overtime to cap off a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory.
Against Marietta on Saturday, Kinkopf would score his first goal of the afternoon by beating the keeper to the top right.
He added his second goal of the match at the 59:25 mark, beating the keeper to the upper right.
Kinkopf now has a team leading 12 goals this season and has scored five goals in his past three games.
