ONU men's track finishes fifth

NEW CONCORD -- The Ohio Northern men's outdoor track & field team finished fourth of fifth teams at the OAC Split Meet at Muskingum on Friday.
The Polar Bears finished with 82 points.
Wilmington won the meet with 161 points, Muskingum was second with 145 points and Capital was third with 117.
In the 100-meter dash, freshman Devon Jones finished second in 11.52 seconds and freshman Christian Rupe was third in 11.82 seconds.
Northern brought home two of the top three finishers in the 1,500-meter run.
Junior Mathew Johnson was second, crossing the finish line in 4:06.96 and senior Michael Simmons finished third in 4:07.77.
Sophomore Ryan Brancheau finished tied for second in the high jump, clearing 6-4.00.
Freshman Robbie Brinkman notched a third place finish in both the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 16.52 seconds and 1:03.61, respectively.
The 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Jonathan Roseler, freshman Jojuan Fisher, Jones and Rupe finished in third place with a time of 43.97 seconds.
Freshman Brandon Ike finished third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 14-0.00.
Ohio Northern will return to action again on April 6, when it takes part in the Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan.
