NAPERVILLE (Ill.) -- Senior Vicki Moga and senior Alison Steinbrunner participated at the NCAA III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Al B. Carius Track on the campus of North Central College (Ill.).
Moga finished tied for 10th place in the high jump.
Jenna Breaker of Ripon (Wis.) won the event, clearing 1.72 meters.
Moga cleared her first two heights in the high jump on her first attempt.
The bar was then moved to 1.65 meters, where Moga was unable to clear the height.
This was her first appearance in the championships.
"This was a pretty good meet for Vicki," said head coach Jason Maus. "For her first time here, I thought she handled the atmosphere very well. It was a great first national meet for her."
Steinbrunner was making her third appearance in the 5,000 run, did not finish the race.
She stayed with the pack for the first quarter of the race.
She then pulled up on the first turn of the ninth lap and was unable to finish.
"Alison has been nursing some injuries and illness all week," Maus added. "She wanted to give it a go. She gave it all she could."
This concludes the indoor season for the Polar Bears. ONU will be in action again next weekend when it participates in the Muskingum Duals.
