ADA- Junior Gabrielle Metzner broke the school record in the 60 meter hurdles to lead the Ohio Northern women's indoor track & field team to a first place finish at the Joe Banks Invitational on Saturday.

The Polar Bears won the meet with 166.50 points, Otterbein with second with 110 and Wittenberg in third with 94 points.

Metzner crossed the finish line in 9.27 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 9.32 seconds.

This is the second school record she has broke this season, as she broke the pentathlon record on Dec. 7.

The 4x200-meter relay team consisting of freshman Allison Gast, sophomores Brittany Lee, sophomore Kristine Wagner and Metzner won in 1:49.50.

Senior Laura Avino finshed first in the 1000-meter run in 3:11.06, while by junior Raechel Moore,  was third in 3:22.99.

Junior Catie Huber won the 800-meter run dash in 2:20.75 and sophomore Julie Amos won the high jump, clearing 1.49 meters.

Freshman Kelsey Commager won the triple jump with a leap of 10.32 meters.

Freshman Dianna Johnson-Ward finished second in long jump with 4.84 meters, followed by Commager who finished third with a leap of 4.67 meters.

The 4x400-meter relay team of freshman Michelle Mosler, Huber, Lee and Wagner finished second in 4:13.10.

Junior Sam Hoffman finshed third in the 3000-meter run in 11:01.55, followed by sophomore Kara Sosinski in fourth with 11:07.03.

Senior Erin Radigan finished fourth in the 1-mile run in 5:29.64 and sophomore Michaela Dramis was fourth in the weight throw, covering 13.00 meters.

Freshman Rebecca Olashuk finished fourth in shot put with a throw of 10.48m.

Ohio Northern will compete again at the All-Ohio Championships on February 15th at Otterbein at noon.
