BLUFFTON — Ada junior Tori Wyss tallied a game-high 18 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a minor 46-42 Northwest Conference girls basketball upset win at Bluffton Thursday night.
Ada improved to 7-9 and 2-4 in the NWC with the win, while the Lady Pirates fell to 10-6 and 4-2 in league play.
The Lady Bulldogs led 7-6 at the end of the first period but extended their lead to seven in the low-scoring half with an 11-5 second stanza.
Bluffton trailed by eight heading to the final quarter, and Ada was able to withstand a 19-15 fourth period rally to win by four.
Alexis Amburgey netted eight points and Carlee Marshall added seven for the victors.
Sarah Schriner tallied 14 points to pace Bluffton.
