FINDLAY - Ridgemont scored six runs in its final two at bats to overcome

upset-minded Ada 9-5 in their Div. IV sectional first round baseball

contest at Findlay Saturday evening.



The Bulldogs fell to 2-17 with the loss despite out-hitting the Gophers

nine to eight.

Freshman Brayden Sautter batted 2-3, drove in a run and scored twice to

pace the Ada offense. He singled in the third and fifth innings, the two

frames in which the Bulldogs scored all of their runs.

The Gophers scored a run in the bottom of the secod to take an early 1-0

lead. But Ada responded with three runs in the top of the third to take a

3-1 edge.

Ridgemont tied it with a pair of runs in their half of the third. In the

fifth, the Bulldogs regained the lead by pushing two more runs across.

Ridgemont answered with four runs in the fifth and then tallied two

insurance runs in the sixth to provide the fina lmargin of victory.

Even though Ridgemont hurler Tyler Tillman allowed five runs over seven

innings, he still recorded the victory. Tillman struck out 12, walked one

and scattered nine hits.

Tillman and Cody Ray combined for six hits and two RBIs to pace the Gopher

offense.

Ada senior starter Austin Cobb also stuck out 12 in the loss.

Ridgemont advances to face Vanlue in the sectional finals Wednesday, May

15 at Findlay.
