BLUFFTON — Bluffton scored 11 runs in their final three at bats to defeat the visiting Ada baseball team 12-5 Monday in a Northwest Conference contest.

The defeat dropped the Bulldogs to 3-8 and 0-2 in the NWC, while the Pirates improved to 5-6 and 1-2 in league play with the victory.

Ada led 5-1 after a four-run top of the fourth inning. But Bluffton tied it with four runs of their own in the home fourth.

The Pirates then pulled away with five runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to win going away. Bluffton out-hit Ada, 8-6.

On Tuesday, Ada is slated to play non-league rival Riverdale at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, the home of the minor league Mud Hens.
