LIMA - Visiting Ada ran out to a 33-17 halftime lead and held on to post a

62-48 non-league boys basketball win over at Perry Saturday night.

The win improved Ada's record to 2-3 while Perry fell to 0-5. The Bulldogs are 2-1 on the road this season.

Senior Mason Acheson and junior Austin Dumbaugh each scored 17 points to lead a balanced Bulldog attack. Freshman playmaker Brayden Sautter tallied a career-high 15 markers and senior Gabe Sutton added eight points to help lead Ada to the victory.

Jared Poling tallied a game-high 24 points, including three three-point goals, to pace the winless Commodores.

Ada led by four after one quarter and took control of the contest with a 20-8 second period.

The Bulldogs shot nine of 15 at the foul line (60 percent) while Perry canned five of nine (56 percent).

Ada returns home to entertain local non-league rival Cory-Rawson Friday, December 21. The Hornets are 2-2 after beating Lakota 59-49 Saturday evening. The Bulldogs are 0-2 at home this season.
