Ada sends six swimmers to districts in 10 events

LIMA - Bulldogs Jon Robey and Matthew Wilcox each won two races and a relay event at the Div. II swim sectionals at the Lima YMCA Saturday to lead a large contingent of Ada district qualifiers to Bowling Green State University next weekend.
"The swimmers did an excellent job Saturday at the Lima sectionals," said Ada coach Ran Siefring.
"This year, the Aqua 'Dogs will be sending swimmers to BGSU to compete in 10 total events - eight individual events and two relays," he continued.
"As for the rest of the team who concluded their season this past Saturday, everyone had a great season and worked hard to provide plenty of competition at the Lime sectionals."
Ada district qualifiers:
Matthew Wilcox - 1st overall in 50 freestyle TIME 22.21;
Matthew Wilcox - 1st overall in 100 breaststroke TIME 1:03.34;
Jon Robey - 1st overall in 100 freestyle - TIME 49.96;
Jon Robey - 1st overall in 100 butterfly - TIME 54.88;
Mitchell Wilcox - 2nd overall in 50 freestyle TIME 22.88;
Mitchell Wilcox - 2nd overall in 100 breaststroke TIME 1:04.56;
Men 200 Freestyle Relay - 1st overall - TIME 1:30.91
Karl Karcher, Matthew Wilcox, Mitchell Wilcox, Jon Robey;
Men 200 Medlay Relay - 2nd overall - TIME 1:45.04
Mitchell Wilcox, Matthew Wilcox, Jon Robey, Karl Karcher.
Kyley Stuart - 6th overall in the 100 Butterfly TIME 1:09.76;
Katey Stuart - 7th overall in the 100 Breaststroke TIME 1:19.48.
The Bulldog boys finished fourth in the sectional team standings, while the Lady Bulldogs took eighth.
