COLUMBUS - Ada junior Austin Windle lost one match and won another by walk-over in the 160 lb. weight class during the double elimination state wrestling meet's first day of Div. III competition at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus Thursday.
Windle lost his first round match to Jordan Hendrix of Tontogany Otsego by a technical fall, 15-0.
In the first round of the consolation bracket, he was awarded a forfeit win over injured Josh Horning of Atwater Waterloo, who had lost his first round match by pin.
In the second consolation round, Windle will face the loser between second round winner's bracket combatants Tyler Fahrer (50-1) of Delta and Jacob Croswell of Columbus Bishop Hartley (39-10). 
Second round consolation matches start at 12:15 p.m. Friday.
Windle now has a season record of 40-7.
