KENTON - On Monday, the fledgling Ada cross country team dominated the

four-team Hardin County meet at the Kenton fairgrounds to win easily.

The Bulldog boys just didn't win they decimated the 22-athlete field by

taking the top four individual spots.

Tristan Armbrecht led the way, finishing the 3.1-mile course first in

17:59. Mitchell Wilcox took second, Jon Robey came in third, and coming in

fourth with the only Ada personal-best time of the meet was Austin Windle

in 19:42.

Matt Higgins finished 21st and Hunter Allen also came in 22nd.

"Having just run a very tough race at Anna, where the boys finished 16th

of 26 teams on Saturday, I wasnt expecting many personal records," said

coach Don Robey.

"Austin has really come along since joining in mid-August. He runs

exceptionally well for a big guy. This was a big confidence-builder team

wise, and hopefully we can carry it over to districts. We're in a good

spot at districts; the top four teams decided not to run in the third race

that sends regional qualifiers to Youngstown.

"We are on the outside looking in to get the team to regionals, but we

have a shot," he continued. "The kids have done everything I have asked

and if they do not advance it will be on me, not them."
