Ada runners compete at district meet

OTTAWA - Minster won the boys title at the 13-team Div. III cross country meet in Ottawa Saturday.
The Ada boys finished 13th with 329 points, while Minster scored just 62 to edge Lincolnview (66) and Crestview (77) for the crown.
Bulldog senior Tristan Armbrecht finished 34th in the 92-runner field and posted the top Ada time over the 3.1-mile course in 19:26.9.
Ada junior Austin Windle came in 55th in a time of 20:41.1 to finish second among the Bulldog harriers. Senior Jonathan Fahl came in 76th in 22:24 while junior Jarod Woodland ended up 85th in 23:22.7.
Ada freshman Keaton Kipker finished 88th in 23:39.5. Matt Higgins took 90th in 25:20.2 and Andrew Robey ended up 91st in 25:21.6.
Senior Dominic Slonkowsky of Minster won the boys individual race in 16:52.8.
In the girls Div. III race at Ottawa, Ada sophomore Alexandra Boyadzhiev came in 53rd out of 78 runners with a time of 25:07.4. Bulldog junior Terra Hunter finished 68th in 28:06.8.
Minster won the girls team title easily by grabbing five of the top six individual finishes, including one-two-three. Fort Recovery came in a distant second with 85 points.
Minster freshman Morgan Pohl won the girls race with a time of 20:09.6.
