PANDORA - Ada senior Mason Acheson fired in a career-high 32-points to lead the Bulldog boys to their first win of the season by a 59-43 count at Pandora-Gilboa in a non-league battle Saturday night.

Ada improved to 1-2 with the road victory, while P-G fell to 1-2.

Acheson scored all of his points from the field via 14 field goals, including four trifectas.

Senior Kellen Decker also tallied a career-high with 10 points while junior Austin Dumbaugh added eight to support Acheson's outburst.

Seth Schmenk led the Rockets with a dozen points.

Ada led just 14-13 after one period, and extended the lead to 28-21 at intermission. The visitors pulled away late with an 18-9 fourth period run to pull off the convincing win, one night after losing by 48 to Wapakoneta.

The Bulldog reserves improved to 2-1 with a 36-21 JV win.

Ada opens Northwest Conference play Friday, December 14 at home vs.

Spencerville. The Bearcats (1-3) whipped Ft. Jennings 74-42 Saturday to

earn their first win as well. They narrowly lost to Elida 62-61 the

previous night.

Spencerville also lost to Minster by one point and to St. Henry by 16 in

the opening weekend.
