ADA - Ada continued its strong season by winning the six-team boys Hardin County Invitational track and field team title on its own turf at War Memorial Stadium on Monday evening.
The Bulldog boys scored 172 points to ease past second-place Riverdale by 16 points. USV finished third with 70 points, followed by Kenton (63), Ridgemont (56) and Hardin Northern (4).
Ada won nine individual events, three of the four relays and took second in the other to sweep to their third invitational victory of the spring. Speedy senior Micah Roberson and junior distance standout Tristan Armbrecht each won a pair of events to pace the impressive Bulldog boys effort.
Other Ada winners were senior sprinter Russell Gray, junior Matt Wilcox, senior Jon Robey, senior hurdler Levi Klingler, and strongman Brent Numbers.
Kenton grabbed the girls team crown with 136.33 points. Ada edged Riverdale by .67 of a point, 105-104.33, to earn second place. USV took fourth (77.33), with Ridgemont in fifth (62) and HN last (38).
Speedy junior Brittney Archer, senior middle distance ace Morgan Rouch and versatile senior Katelyn Simon won individual events for the Lady Bulldogs. Rouch nosed out teammate Terra Hunter in second to win the 800 while Simon won the high jump and Archer took the 200.
Aspen Rose of USV won the 100 (17.0) and 300 hurdles (51.2) to pace the Lady Rams.
Brittany Holbrook of USV also won the 100 meter dash (12.5) by edging Archer, and Ram Sydney Williams took first in the 400 meters (1:01.5).

The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday when they host the annual all-day Ada Invitational, the longest-running continuous meet in the state.
