  • AKRON — Sophomore Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) won the 200 fly in convincing fashion, leading the Ohio Northern women on the third and final day of the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
  • ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team rebounded from there first loss of the season with a pair of convincing 9-0 shutout victories over Albion (Mich.) and Adrian (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon.
  • ADA — Sophomore Cameron Marous (Brecksville) picked up where he left off a season ago, leading the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team to a convincing 25-3 victory over Calvin (Mich.) in its season-opener on Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
  • ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team dropped an 88-68 decision to the visiting Marietta Pioneers on Saturday afternoon as it celebrated Senior Day at the ONU Sports Center.
  • MARIETTA — It took 50 minutes, including two overtime periods for the No. 21-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team to grind out a 93-85 victory over Marietta and claim the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title outright on Saturday afternoon at Ban Johnson Arena.
  • LIMA — Host Lima Temple Christian pulled away from a tight halftime battle with a big second half to defeat Ada 56-46 in non-conference boys basketball action Saturday night.
  • BOWLING GREEN — Three Ada girls and boys swimmers competed in the Div. II swim districts at Bowling Green State University Friday evening, with one earning a return visit to the state meet at Canton.
  • ADA — Visiting Columbus Grove outscored Ada 9-1 down the final stretch to pull out a hard-fought 51-41 Northwest Conference boys basketball win before a big crowd Friday night. 
  • DEGRAFF — Upper Scioto Valley was strong in the middle two quarters Friday night to defeat Riverside 63-50 in Northwest Central Conference boys basketball action.
  • COLUMBUS GROVE — Host Columbus Grove clinched the outright Northwest Conference girls basketball title with a convincing 82-23 win over Ada Thursday evening in the league season finale.
  • WAYNESFIELD — Host Waynesfield-Goshen took advantage of cold Ada shooting to build a big lead and held on for a 56-40 girls basketball non-league win Tuesday evening.
  • BLUFFTON — Kaycee Rowe (Harrod/Allen East) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season. It marks the fifth honor for Bluffton this season as Macey Sheerer (Bucyrus) has also notched two Player of the Week awards!
  • LIMA — The Ada girls and boys swim teams competed in the Div. II swim sectionals at the Lima YMCA Saturday, with three Bulldog athletes qualifying for the district meet next Friday.
  • BELLEFONTAINE — The Ada wrestling team grappled at Ben Logan along with Buckeye Valley Friday night, losing two close dual matches.
