LAKESIDE, Ohio - Maureen (Gose) Moser, 73, of Lakeside and formerly of Lorain, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. She was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Gullett, Ky., the daughter of the late Seville and Josephine (Risner) Gose. She married George Moser on Jun. 1, 1963, and he preceded her in death on Jul. 10, 2011.
She was a graduate of Ada High School and Fredericks Beauty School, in Lima. She was a loving wife and mother. She and her husband spent their summers working in Lakeside until they retired and permanently moved to Lakeside. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Lakeside Women's Club and she worked at Hotel Lakeside for many years.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Patrick) Dougherty, of Akron; Stephanie (Mike) Thompson, of Columbus; grandchildren, John Patrick, Rose Elizabeth, Virginia Anne and Brendan George Dougherty; one sister, Patricia (J) Ladd, of Findlay; brothers, Phillip Gose, of Findlay, John (Ellen) Williams, of Troy; nieces, Elizabeth (Jon) (Ladd) Lieb, of Findlay, Abigail Maureen Ladd, of Findlay, and Margaret Williams, of Winchester, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband and niece Angela Williams.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Lakeside United Methodist Church, where the family will receive friends following the service in the parlor. Interment will be in the Chautauqua Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions can be given to Orchestra Hall at Lakeside or the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
