ADA — Margaret June (Matheny) Cole, 93, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 1:04 a.m., at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born on Oct. 9, 1920, in Monongalia County, W.V., to Charles and Sarah (Phillips) Matheny and they preceded her in death. On April 16, 1938, she married James Cole and he survives in Ada.

Margaret worked at Westinghouse Corp., of Lima. She helped her husband with Cole’s Service Station in Alger. They lived in South Carolina for 22 years where they owned and managed rental property.

She was at heart a homemaker and loved her family very much. She loved our Lord and was active in church serving in various ways; as treasurer, Sunday School teacher and in the Women’s Missionary Group. Her journey here with us is over but we know she is now safe with our Lord.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Also surviving is a daughter, Ruth Ann (Cole) Grismore, of Ada; a son, Ronald (Barbara) Cole, of Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann Wiley, of Canton.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Judith Kay Cole and three brothers, Charles Matheny, Jr., Henry Matheny and John Matheny

There will be a private burial at Preston Cemetery in Alger.
