ADA — Judith A. “Judy” Lasko, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at 11 p.m., at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born on Oct. 2, 1936, in Ada, to Ray J. and Helen M. (Doersam) McClure and they preceded her in death. On Aug. 26, 1967, she married Richard Lasko and he survives in Ada.

Judy was a homemaker. She was formerly the secretary of the Education Department at ONU for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ of Ada, where she was an Elder and former Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter 0, where she held many offices. She was also a member of the Sorosis Club of Ada.

Judy was a 1954 graduate of Ada High School. She loved to cook, bake, craft, sew and travel. She was proud of her hometown of Ada. Judy dearly loved her nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren.

Also surviving is a daughter, Arlene (Scott) Allison, of Ada; three grandchildren, Robert, Grace and Jillian Allison; a brother, Raymond “Gene” (Karen) McClure, of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis McClure.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Deacon J. Michael Hood officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Ada. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

The family encourages donations instead of flowers. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Ada, and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay.
