LIMA - John C. Romick, 57, formerly of Ada, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 4:11 p.m., at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on Feb. 10, 1955, in Lima, to Merle "Mick" and Jeanette L. "Jan" (Elchert) Romick, who preceded him in death. On May 9, 1987, he married Tina M. Cole, who survives in Lima.
John worked for Sodexo at Ohio Northern University as lead painter. He attended Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his dog, Lilly.
Also surviving are two sons, Robbie (Audrey) Overs, of Kenton, and Jason Overs, of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters, Shannon (Jeremy) Kohler, of Wapakoneta, Stephanie (Mike) Wince, of 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Michael (Robin) Romick, of Bluffton, Patrick Romick, of Dunkirk, and James (Dawn) Romick, of Lima; two sisters, Laura Kinnear, of Lima, and Debra (Michael) Agin, of Charleston, S.C.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger, with Pastor Robert Dye officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Friends may call 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service at the church on friday.
