HARDIN COUNTY — This week has been a busy one for drug interdiction operations carried out by the Hardin County Crime Task Force with assistance from county and local police.
This past Tuesday, Jan. 31 and Wednesday, Feb. 1, in two separate undercover drug stings, several apparently contraband pills were purchased from the female residents of 105 South Gormely St. in Forest with the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and the Forest Police Department assisting and 717 South Detroit St. in Kenton with the Kenton Police assisting with their K9 unit. Both women were charged and arrested for trafficking.
Later the same day, Feb. 1, a search warrant conducted at 203 North Main St in Kenton discovered 31 hits of heroin, assorted pills and marijuana along with cash and drug paraphernalia. The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Kenton Police Department, Hardin County Prosecutors Office and the K9 unit assisted.
