Where were you born?
I was born in Lima, Ohio.

What brought you to this area?  Or kept you here?
I grew up on a farm south of Alger, Ohio and have been a Hardin County resident my entire life.       I graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1980 and started working at Liberty National Bank in 1984.  In 1985, I moved to Ada and have lived here ever since.

What is your occupation?
I am the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for Liberty National Bank.  I started working at a bank prior to graduating from high school and continued throughout my college years as well.  This year marks my 42nd year in this profession.

Why do you love what you do?
Working in the banking sector has allowed me to see and experience a lot of changes in the financial services industry over the years.  During that time, I have been able to wear many hats; take on different responsibilities and continue to learn.   But the one thing that keeps me coming to work every day is the people.   I enjoy interacting with my co-workers; bank customers and members of the community.

What is your favorite thing about this community?
The small town feel – where you know most everyone by name – along with the home town spirit and comradery of everyone working together to improve our quality of life and to help our community be the best that it can be.

What are you involved with in the community?
I am a member of the Ada First United Methodist Church; treasurer of the Ada Kiwanis Club; trustee of the Ada Community Improvement Corporation and treasurer of the Committee for Advancing Ada Schools.

What are some of your hobbies?
I like to garden – maintain the lawn, landscape and flowers at my residence along with reading, when time allows.
