ADA - The Ada 4th and 5th grade classes put on quite a show last night as they performed their Christmas Class Musical program for friends and family. The show, titled, "Dear Santa: A Musical 'Tweet' for Christmas", incorporated various types of music, including soft-shoe, 50's rock and even some island style beats. A little hand jive and disco were thrown in to keep the kids moving.
Although it was certainly a fun project, class musicals are also designed to be educational. According to Mrs. Lori Wilson, Elementary Musical Director, "Class musical projects like this are a great vehicle for student creativity and help our young people build confidence and attain a strong sense of accomplishment."

Memorization of lyrics and choreography, learning objectives, and team work are also highlights of the educational aspects that class musicals provide for students.
