ADA - Ada Village Council approved the purchase Tuesday evening of 10.2 acres on Township Road 44, East Lincoln Avenue, to be used as the location of the new Waste Water Treatment Plant. The acreage comes at a cost of $80,000 to the Village. A closing date has yet to be set for the transaction.

Plans for the new treatment plant are still underway as the village continues to seek funding through possible grants and other financing avenues. A second public hearing about the plant will be held on Tuesday, April 23, at the Depot. During that meeting the Community Development Block Grant will be discussed and representatives from Jones and Henry will be present to discuss the engineering and plans of the new facility.

According to Village Administrator, Jim Meyer, construction projects in town have been hampered by the recent rainfall but will continue as soon as the weather improves. JDR Excavating will also be moving into the concrete streets area to begin their work with drier weather.

Also approved during the meeting:

- The 2013 brochure for the Ada Swimming Pool and pool employee handbook. The final approval of pool employees will be voted upon during a special meeting on Tuesday, April 23.
