ADA - The N-Mens Club was a busy place when the Ada Senior Citizens gathered for a meeting and craft project. Jessie Martin was a guest and she assisted with helping everyone turn 10 cardboard toilet paper rolls into a Christmas tree. Foil wrapping paper and ornaments were also used along with many paper clips to hold everything together.
The next meeting of the group will be on Wednesday, Dec. 12. This will be the last meeting of the year. The meeting will be at Community Health Professionals and it will begin at 10 a.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to assemble Christmas treat bags to take to area shut-ins. Members are asked to bring cookies that are individually packaged in small zip-lock bags or wrapped candy. The club will supply fruit for the bags.
After the bags are assembled there will be a luncheon provided. Everyone should bring a small wrapped gift for the activity that will take place after lunch. The gift can be a new item or a white elephant.
Also being collected at the meeting will be non-perishable items for the Ada Food Pantry. They are also collecting hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves that will be taken to Ada schools to be used for children who need them when the weather is cold.
They also need the help of all members to assemble a current list of shut-ins. If you know of someone bring that name and address with you to the next meeting.
