  • ALGER - Four Gospel Music artists and groups will perform at a free concert at Alger Assembly of God this Sunday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. 
  • Westhuizen duo to conclude 33rd Artist Series season
    FINDLAY - The Westhuizen Piano Duo will conclude The First Presbyterian Church's 33rd Artist Series Season. The performance is scheduled for 2 p.m., on Sunday, April 28, in the Sanctuary at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 2330 S. Main St., in Findlay. The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

     
  • ADA - Ohio Northern University's Gospel Ensemble, with special guests Chris Byrd and the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church Choir of Lima, will celebrate its 26th anniversary with a concert in the ONU McIntosh Center Ballroom on Sunday, April 21, at 6 p.m. 
  • COLUMBUS - The Good Friday Walking Stations of the Cross, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Columbus' Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and Office for Social Concerns, will be held on March 29.

    Stations will begin with prayer at St. Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Broad St., at 8 a.m., led by the Most Reverend Frederick F. Campbell, Bishop of Columbus, and will conclude at the Cathedral around 11 a.m. 
  • LAFAYETTE - The LaFayette Community Chorus will be presenting their 63rd Annual Easter Cantata, No Stone Could Hold Him In - A Dynamic Witness to the Living Rock of Our Salvation, in three performances. The first performance will take place on Palm Sunday, March 24, beginning at 2:30 p.m., at the LaFayette United Methodist Church. Additional performances will be held on Tuesday, March 26, and Wednesday, March 27, both at 7 p.m., at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Lima. 
  • ADA - On March 29, at 6 p.m., the Ada area churches will gather for a meal at the Church of Christ-Disciples church on 316 S. Main St. At 7 p.m. there will be a Worship Service of reading of the Passion of Christ, prayer, and a guest singer for music ministry. 
  • Families who see a loved one age and develop Alzheimer's witness one of life's more horrifying transformations. Names are forgotten. Shared memories are no longer shared, but disappear into the vacuum of nothingness. Dementia is hard in all cases and especially so when the person had a bright, active mind. The loss of what one once had in abundance is more than ironic-it brings suffering for those who witness the loss. 
  • LAFAYETTE - LaFayette First United Methodist Church will hold their annual Beef and Noodle Fundraiser dinner on Thursday, March 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner will include beef and noodles, mashed potatos, green beans, dinner roll, salad bar, dessert and a drink for a donation of your choice! 
  • CLEVELAND (AP) - An Ohio nun who lobbies for expanded Catholic Church roles for women and a married priesthood has taken her case to Rome at a historic time.

     
  • DUNKIRK - A Soup & Salad Meal and Silent Auction Benefit Concert by Calvary's Promise will be held on Thursday, April 18, at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Kenton. All proceeds will be going to Bridgeport Church, Dunkirk, to assist in rebuilding their Community Center, that was recently lost to fire.
